Moffi wins UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the season
Nigeria Terem Moffi has won the UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Season prize.
Moffi’s acrobatic finish in OGC Nice’s 2-2 draw against FC Basel in the quarter-final clash on April 13 was picked by UEFA’s technical observer panel as the best of the competition for the 2022/23 season.
The superb strike was also at the time adjudged the Best Goal of the Week.
The 23-year-old is the first Nigerian to achieve the feat in the competition.
His compatriot, Samuel Chukwueze finished in fourth position.
Chukwueze was nominated for his goal in Villarreal’s 4-3 win against Bulgarian club, Lech Poznan on matchday one.
