A former Minister of Education, and one of the conveners of BBOG, Oby Ezekwesili has formally written social media commentator, Japheth Omojuwa, demanding an explanation and public apology from him for enlisting her as one of the directors in his company — Alpha Reach, without her consent or approval.
Oby wrote him formally through her lawyers, Falana and Falana Chambers.
According to the letter shared by Oby herself on her twitter page, She said on March 31, 2021, she was contacted by a certain person inquiring if she knew of a company — Alpha Reach in which her name was enlisted as one of the company’s directors.
She denied having any knowledge of it or being aware of it.
According to the letter written to Omojuwa by her lawyers, the person who contacted her later forwarded a document from the CAC [Corporate Affairs Commission] showing her name listed as one of the directors which later turned out to be owned by Omojuwa.
The letter stated that she contacted him and he admitted owing the company.
She then asked him for the Incorporation documents of the company which he promised to provide but never did.
She is now demanding a public explanation on why Omojuwa should include her as a director in his company without her knowledge and then demanded a public apology.
