#Elections : 70 Million #Youths For #2023. This progressive and grassroots oriented Initiative that had taken the country by storm was a child of necessity. It came into being at the peak of COVID-19 scorge which ravaged the whole world and it gathered momentum during the mass protests sponsored by Nigerian youths against SARS and Police brutality in October 2020. It was set forth as a systemic and dynamic reactions against unpleasant sociopolitical and economic decadence orchestrated by successive leaders in the country and which surreptitiously places the teeming youths in morbid state of hopelessness.

It is mind-boggling and preposterous that the defenceless youths are precariously marginalised, notoriously alienated and arkwardly relegated to the background in all schemes of things. Frankly speaking, they are crudely denied of their inalienable rights to good health delivery systems; good shelters; gainful employments; functional education; and other basic necessities of life which had subjected them to great deprivations and made them seemingly impoverished. It is highly degrading seeing thousands of unemployed graduates roaming the streets endlessly in all nooks and crannies of the country seeking for few jobs in Governments institutions that are mainly reserved for sons and daughters of the affluents who are less qualified than them!. This is a society which didn’t give preference to merit in appointments. In view of the fact that devil finds job for idle hands, it is highly worrisome and pathetic that the high rates of unemployment and underemployment among the youths have led to astronomical rise in armed robbery, kidnappings; yahoo, cyber crimes and other criminal activities which had made the country one of unsafe havens in the world!.

The present mass protests organised by angry youths against SARS and police brutality were cumulative aggressive reactions against social injustice, large scale insecurities and bad governance in the land which have impacted negatively on the lives of average youths who have been subjected to indignation and brutish conditions.

The *70 Million Youths For 2023* is therefore a bold attempt at rescuing Nigerian youths out of the current unpleasant sociopolitical and economic situations they are subjected to over the years by our callous leaders. The *70 Million Youths For 2023* is geared towards offering effective and efficient strategies towards bailing the suffering youths out of abject poverty, social deprivations, inequality and oppressions in the hands of our wicked, inept, clueless and highly self-centred leaders who have pillaged our cherished commonwealth with impunity.

In ensuring that the youths are bailed out of internal slavery and brazen oppression they are being subjected to, *70 Million Youths For 2023*, would explore the simplest opportunity or possibility of transforming this great initiative into a formidable political party in no distant time in readiness towards wrestling power through ballots from this crops of older generations at the national level who have no tangible ideas and intellectual capacities in running the affairs of this nation. Happily enough, the country is blessed bountifully with highly cerebral and experienced youths who can lead this country to the promised land.
