Tussle in #Iru Kingdom: Prince Adesegun, siblings roots for peace in Oniru . Considering the recent  emergence of the new Oniru, the approach adopted by Gbolahan Lawal may encourage violence, seeing that he has refused to call the palace aides to order.

For the very first time in the history of Iruland, an open robbery of royaltywas witnessed,  several attacks on the family of the immediate past princes and princesses, invasion of properties, distort long-standing history and heritage of our ancient Iruland.

The order of the day has been high influx of thuggery, criminal activities, attacks on the late oniru’s family members and land grabbing by the newly installed king.

Iru land used to be a very peaceful place to be in, it used to be a centre of attraction for investors but lately, everyone now lives in terror.

One of the illicit act by the thugs deployed by the king is the attack on Prince Tijani Oniru, one of the sons of the late oniru in the estate, he was beaten because he tried to stop the illegal accusation of the lands and properties owned by the Oniru family after the new king ordered that all bank accounts should be freezed.

Apart from the physical attacks, there have been spiritual oppression for days by the king in Iruland, scaring every resident in the estate.

There are numerous recordings of the thugs working for the oba going about seeking everywhere what they would devour, they are seen threatening people and making unlawful arrest( whilst the police men that has powers to make arrest aided and abetted thugs vandalising properties and assaulting people and making arrest ( all on video)

Hoodlums everywhere snatching phones and people’s property on the estate oppressing people in their neighbourhood.

However, some of us who have been observing the trend of events as they unfold, will speak and hold our position as every freeborn of Iruland.

The concocted tale of Prince Adesegun, Tijani Oniru, and Ademola Oniru hijacking all the lands in Iruland is nothing but false, baseless, claims.

For the record, the stool of Oniru as a First Class monarch came into statutory recognition in 1994 after a history of more than 200 years as a chieftaincy family. Thus, the first Oniru of Iruland, our recently translated Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru, ascended the throne and spent a period of 25 years on the throne. Thus, until the ascension of Gbolahan Lawal, there had only been one Oba of Iruland in the history of the Kingdom. Posterity was wonderfully nice to our deceased Oba as His Majesty’s reign brought unprecedented development, government recognition, and presence, coupled with lots of personal prosperity to both indigenes and foreigners in Iruland.

Iruland under the late father of Prince Adesegun witnessed peace and harmony which has made it the envy of its neighbours and investors, and evidently the indigenes who had been hiding in the guise of loyal members while the late Oniru was alive.

This same Prince Adesegun Oniru received accolades and commendations when Iruland recorded tremendous achievements under our deceased monarch. It was Aremo Adesegun Oniru that assisted in ensuring unprecedented infrastructural development in Iruland. He brought the whole family of Oniru together as a united force in the absence of which it would have been near impossible to make the landmark progress we have witnessed as of 2019.

The loyalists of Gbolahan Lawal have reduced the sacred institution of Iru Obaship that commands the highest respect, and subjected it to public ridicule. They have turned matters of royal importance and value to WhatsApp broadcast gossips. They have shamed the highly revered Oniru title.

Mirroring the body language and reaction of Gbolahan Lawal to the ongoing social slander against Prince Aremo, we have every reason to believe that the recent harassment on indigenes has the backings of His Royal Highness.
