Princess Diana’s niece is set to marry a fashion tycoon who’s five years older than her own father, according to reports.
Lady Kitty Spencer – daughter of Diana’s brother – has agreed to become multi-millionaire Michael Lewis’s wife.
Mr Lewis turns 61 this month, while Kitty is just 29 – and her dad, Earl Spencer, is 55.
The groom is a South African-born fashion magnate with an estimated net worth of £80million.
The divorced dad-of-three is a director of the retailer Foschini Ltd, and also the founder of an Israeli biotech company.
He is said to have three children aged in their 30s.
Kitty and Mr Lewis were seen kissing after leaving a club in St Tropez, France, last August – three months after going public with their relationship in New York.
One of Kitty’s pals told the Daily Mail: “Michael proposed to Kitty before Christmas.
“She’s been in Cape Town for the holidays and told her mother and the rest of the family. Michael is loved by all of them. Despite his wealth, he’s very humble and low key.”
Kitty, born in December 1990, is the Earl Spencer’s eldest child.
This makes her a first cousin of Princes William and Harry.
After Kitty’s parents split in 1997, she divided her time between her dad’s home in England and her mum’s in South Africa.
She now works as a professional model and is signed to Storm Management, making her professional debut in the high-society Tatler magazine five years ago.
